i believe.
i was reading the book "when God writes your love story..." and it struck me, on the first chapter about the statement of the author on "why we believe in Jesus?"
to get the idea of why we do believe...i tried to ask people about it. and most of them declined or even tried to answer why they personally believe in Jesus Christ. although, this is new to me...i am able to understand that we should change our thinking that we only believe so that we wont be thrown in hell. i believe the Lord came for more than that.
it's really a new lesson for me that many of us, really believe in Jesus Christ as a ticket to heaven...i am part of those people. i have believed in a Lord who doesn't mind me running around and doing stupid things just as long as i have accepted him as my Lord and savior. it's a concept i must really erase.
and this is the lesson i learned:
i believe in Christ because he has a better plan for me. a life that is stuck with him is a joyful ride than the thousand times i led myself in downfall, pain and sin.
i believe in him, because he knows more of how the world runs than me...i might be intelligent and wise, but it all goes to the point of Him being able to comprehend what i know and exceeds more of what i can do or think of.
i believe in Him who knows my future and past...and is willing to accept me as who i am no matter what. not just a sinner, but an individual who has been hurt and have hurt others as well.
i believe in Him because life exists because of Him...not just salvation but that every air, food and shelter comes from him.
i could write so many things and could explain alot why i believe in Him, not just because he saved me from the pit...but that he offers more than just salvation...it's life.
