
The 7 Habits of Higly Effective People
I just got off from work. The last hour or so was focused on the group discussion of the title above. It was fun and i felt like I'm joining a conference in my own office yard.
Well, just want to share the things the facilitator discussed and hope it can help you in one way or another... These are the seven things i learned from the introduction overview from our discussion...Read on dude.
1. Habits (noun) - are patterns of behaviors composing of 3 overlapping components- knowledge, skills and our attitudes.
2. The difference between our character and personality- Our character shows who we really are and our personality is what we appear to be to others. For hundreds of years now, there has been a shift on focusing on developing personality instead of our characters.
3. Our Value changes (beauty, skills and the like) and may not be relevant overtime. While principles does not change. (courage will always be courage, hope as hope and the like...) These things are unchanging.
4.Leadership has 4 Levels-
Personal
Interpersonal
Managerial
Organizational
5. Maturity is a process and not a condition.
6. Difference between managers and leaders- a good manager is efficient while a manager is effective.
7. Efficient means it's done the right way whereas effective means doing the right things.
